N stands for National

Nationally recognised, because standards are standard. Recognised by the community as an achievement by the person to whom they belong. Recognised as an ability that has been proved in the work place.

V stands for Vocational

Exactly what the dictionary says - and more. 'Sense of fitness for, a career or occupation' - that is the definition. In its context within NVQ - the extra 'perk' is that it is not just a 'sense' - but is proof of accomplishment. Very much worth having. Not just a dream - but reality.

Q stands for Qualification

A piece of paper - one of the most valuable you could ever own. Own a £1000 note - lose it - and you have lost it. Own a single unit of an NVQ and you can NEVER lose it. It is yours. For life. Proof of your ability to accomplish a given task; proof of your ability to reach given standards within your working life.

The Value Of NVQs

The value of having your worth recognised, of being able to prove that you really can and do, what you say you do, adds to self respect - and to the respect of others in the career market.

The shared beliefs and commitments outlined here have led to our belief that NVQs should be totally flexible -

'a unit from this one, combined with a unit from that one, proves that I am me - unique. I have ability - and can prove it'

NVQs & The Individual...

With NVQs the individual is not tied to an externally imposed timescale. You choose your own. If it is important for a you to accomplish a full NVQ in a very short length of time Achieve-Ability Plus will do their utmost to help that to happen. Likewise, if you wish to take a long time to achieve it we will also accommodate that approach!

Age is no barrier - indeed it can be a bonus. It is so much easier to prove experience when you have a wealth of it behind you.

We encourage you and your staff to become part of our qualified team of assessors.
